Alon Porat | |
Born
in Bat Yam, near Tel Aviv, 1952. His father emigrated from Austria, his mother
born in Czechoslovakia.
He studied sculpture from the age of 15, later also in Wales and in London,
at the Kingston College of Art. Married to Ora, whose parents emigrated from
Turkey. They have four daughters. They are one of the founding families in
Clil. After ten years of intensive work establishing his family, in building,
agriculture, goat grazing, started to paint landscapes, oils on canvas, compositions
of light and form which resonated
for him internally. His paintings express his love for and optimism
regarding this landscape.
Exhibitions-
First exhibition in 1982, Kibbutz Cabri, and since then many group and one
man shows, both in Israel and abroad.
