Born in Tel Aviv, 1952, to South African and Austrian parents. He graduated in 1975 from Bezalel Academy of Art, Jerusalem in Fine Arts. Gidi and Orna Peri came to live in Clil in 1981 and raised three children. Gidi runs the local pub, paints and makes forest wood furniture pieces.
