"50 Color Pictures of a
Match"
Bob Kerns was a Professor of photography at Syracuse University's Newhouse
College of Communication while I was there from 1968 'til 1972. He was never
my teacher, but he was a teacher to my close friend Michael Maginn. Maginn
insisted that I make contact with him. We developed a nice relationship. One
day, I told him that I was in a slump. He said, "Great, now I have a
beginning student, an advanced student, and a night student that all told
me the same thing. I want each one of you to bring me 50 color pictures of
a match."
