| SHEPHERD'S DAUGHTER- Celtic Songs of the Heart
Just as hills, sea and sky know no borders, this music, rooted in the Celic
tradition, embraces many cultures and touches a special "chord" in each of
us. On this album of expressive and exciting Irish/Celtic songs,
Diane and Ada, a vocal duo, incorporating rich and original harmonies and
arrangements, display a panorama of varied moods, settings and textures.
They both live in the Galilean Hills overlooking seas and pastures. Flocks
of sheep and shepherds are a natural part of the scenery, and their music
blends with this calm.
Diane Kaplan: lead vocals (tracks 1,6-9,12), backing vocals and guitar.
Diane has sung in many musical styles, although from the first time she
heard Irish music , it swept her off her feet! With her powerful and
expressive voice, she gives each of her songs its own special brilliance.
Her sensitive musicianship as guitarist is well demonstrated throughout the
album.
Ada Moriel: lead vocals (tracks 4,5,10,13,14), backing vocals, Irish
whistles, low whistle, side flute, alto recorder. Ada is known for her
versatility as a singer and a musician, playing a wide variety of
instruments in many styles. She sings some of the most expressive
arrangements of these Celtic folk songs. Her sensitivity in her flute and
whistle playing is strongly felt here as well.
Abe Doron: bodhran (Irish drum), bones, spoons, blocks, udu, rainstick,
tambourine, shakers, cymbals and percussion effects. Abe is a member of
several ensembles, playing various musical styles, and has recorded with
many. He has been playing with Diane and Ada for many years, and joins them
here as a musician and co-producer. Having played for 6 years with the
Riverdance Show all over the world, Abe clearly demonstrates his rich
experience and love of Celtic music. Abe utilizes his enormous collection of
percussion instruments like a master artist handles his brush and paints.

Whether he accompanies a love song or plays an Irish reel, his sensitive
cello lines pluck on our heartstrings.
Bracha BenAvraham: 10-string Irish bouzouki Bracha joins Diane and Ada with
the strong driving force of her bouzouki. She contributes much to the Irish
folk music scene with the bands that she performs and records with. She is a
composer as well. www.irish-cream.net
Uri Miles: Uilleann pipes, Scottish smallpipes, whistle A wonderful piper,
Uri is known for his traditional as well as "fusion" compositions and
arrangements in his band "Blue". He has joined Diane and Ada in a dramatic
rendition of the folk song "Loch Lomond". www.fly.to/kahol
Rami Bonen: mandolin Rami, together with Bracha and Ada , have played
traditional Irish music for many years in their previous band. He also plays
many other styles of music. His musical contributions also add joy and
humor.
Yotam Dahan: didgeridoo With his digeridoo, Ada's oldest son, Yotam,
contributes much to the dramatic effect of the song "Ready for the Storm".
Thus, the fog horn is musically depicted.
